I just finished No One Is Talking About This by Patricia Lockwood and I have yet to stop thinking about it! She is incredible- I have never read prose that makes me laugh and then suddenly recoil or move me to tears. And just when things seem so… bleak… Part Two is such a raw examination of hopefulness, helplessness, human connection and love. Highest praise for this work!

I adored that book so much! Her writing is both accessible and truly brilliant, and I love how it shifted in Part Two.

I need to get on #1000wordsofsummer! Idk why I haven't done it yet. I'm reading Motherhood by Sheila Heti right now, about halfway through and loving it. I also just picked up A Swim In A Pond In The Rain by George Saunders!!

George was my thesis advisor! (I really say that a lot, I cannot help it). Actually, Jess, let me mail you my copy? I've read it and can't take it with me to Florida. Happy to do it. And yes, #1000wordsofsummer is wonderful and there are even in person meetups!
