Congratulations, Anastasia. I don't think anything truly great comes out of having free time to do it. When you're pressed, you squeeze out all that goodness because time is precious, and focus must be sharp. (Stephen King might argue that with me, though. I stand by my opinion!) 😉 Enjoy the process. This is when it really comes to life, and you fall in love with it again. xo
Thanks so much for sharing this view into your publishing and revision process. It's incredibly helpful and interesting to hear how it all actually works. I feel like few authors talk honestly about the publication process and I am grateful that you do!
1. I am looking forward to reading your book more than any other I can think of.
2. I enjoyed revising my first book almost as much as I enjoyed writing it. I think the time that has passed since you submitted your ms may be helpful in giving some perspective, almost as if you are seeing it as the reader as much as the writer.
3. I’m not sure if I was the one who signed up, though I think I did. I certainly understand if you don’t want to do it for one or two people.
4. I look forward to following your revision process.

The process can feel so opaque- I think, also, that it's different for everyone. I'm so glad this is helpful for you!

Thank you Tom! Yes, time is always helpful in getting perspective, that's for sure. But I am ready to be done with this book, too!
I’m sure you are. You are probably ready to get on to the next one.
