Metta Meditation and Cultivating Compassion
Join me tomorrow (and every Thursday) night 7:40pm - 8:40pm PST for a check-in, metta/lovingkindness meditation, and relaxing short yoga nidra. You don’t have to have any experience with meditation or yoga to attend.
Metta meditation is about cultivating a deeper breadth of resilience and compassion within oneself. It’s so easy to experience overwhelm when faced with the suffering of ourselves and/or others, and with overwhelm comes shutting down. Metta meditation done with a small group can help us to face the suffering of others with a whole heart, and leave us with more strength to help ourselves and those we love.
You’ll leave our meditation restored and relaxed. It’s a perfect thing to do if you’ve been having trouble sleeping. This is offered by donation, with all of this week’s proceeds going to India and Myanmar.
