I loved this story, but have little energy to write about it today. If you loved it too, please let me know what in particular you loved in the comments! When you comment or “like” (that little red heart right up there) then I know you are actually reading and it makes me feel like I am not doing this alone.

What I loved? The primness of the beginning, the back roads. How things unravel. The back roads. The thought of bats flying through a car window, or being scared of cicadas but not of marrying a man you despise.

If you liked “Spiderwebs,” read this interview with Mariana Enriquez.

Today’s story is “Mrs. Spring Fragrance”, a reader suggestion.
