Hello Lovely Humans,
Things are chaotic over here in my world. Tomorrow I have a meeting with my editor and agent to discuss the next (final?!) round of book revisions and nail down a publication date. I am teaching and taking summer classes at the university. I’m moving in ten days and then heading to New Orleans for a pet-sit. In a little over a month I start the second year of my PhD, but I am currently questioning whether I want to continue my PhD at all. Maybe because I am tired of being overwhelmed?
All of that is to say: Inspiration Station is going on hiatus for a while. I am not sure if it’s sustainable for me, and I’m rethinking what I can offer through this space.
It makes much more sense for me to offer individual sessions.
I’ve offered individual advising sessions before, and they can take many shapes. Whether you’re looking for editorial feedback on smaller projects or guidance on larger projects, like book proposals or entire book projects, I can help. These sessions are also incredible helpful for recalibrating your center and strengthening your ideas of where you want to go as a writer. Because creative writing is often perceived through a lens of scarcity by its practitioners, this makes it easy to take what we can get, rather than taking the time to truly visualize and plan a way forward to what we want, both in writing and for our entire selves.
I have a limited amount of individual session availability. These sessions can happen on a single or repeat basis, depending on your project.
Subscribers get 10% off of individual sessions. Click below for more details and booking information.
I want to thank everyone who has become a paid subscriber to this publication, from the bottom of my heart. It means so much to me.
Did you know that yearly subscriptions are only $40 a year? That is low AF in the Substack world. But I also know that $40 is a lot of money to many of you (as it is to me), which is why I keep most of my content free.
I’m grateful for all of you!
Tell me: what are you working on this week? In writing. In life. What’s one thing you’re trying to do more of or less of? Let me know in the comments.
oh gosh, I'm gonna meet Inspiration Station! It was such a wonderful space and helped me anchor my week. Thank you for hosting it as long as you did, and I completely understand it not working for you.
