Hermitage is Back, with a New(ish) Mission
Hello!
Time away has been good. It’s given my ADHD meds time to kick in (haha). I feel more organized and ready to commit myself to this newsletter. Get ready for a newsletter on Sunday, and monthly interviews with wonderful people.
The mission of Hermitage is changing just a bit. I started this newsletter last November, and it’s been through several iterations. I think I’ve finally settled on what I want to create: a focus on neurodivergency, trauma, disability activism, and highlighting marginalized experiences, plus my regular über-personal weekly newsletters with some links to what I love.
I have been focusing a lot on “cultivating” something with this newsletter, but because I constantly struggle with my own feelings of self-worth, PTSD, and personal issues, I was trying to make something a little more sophisticated than I am truly capable of. I want to create something a bit more authentic to me, more welcoming to others, and I want to extend the reach of this newsletter into the community of writers and makers I’m surrounded with. (If you’d like to be interviewed, reach out!).
Basically, I want it to be something irreverent, fun, devastating, messy, unique, elevated, and profane. I need that flexibility. Expect to be surprised. I always surprise myself (not always in a good way)!
Subscriptions are active again. If you’d like to support my work, please become a paying subscriber, or share my posts when they arrive in your inbox (or both!).
I am so, so grateful for you, readers of this newsletter. I know you’re remarkable humans beings, and I feel honored that you want to read my words. I’m excited to journey with you again.
With love,
Stacy
