On April 2nd (because it can’t start on April Fool’s, of course), I’m starting 21 days of 21 minutes of journaling. (If you would like to sign up (for free!)), you’ll receive a daily email with a 21 minute voice recording guiding you through the writing prompts (with a hefty amount of silence for your own thoughts and writing).
Journaling has been a powerful tool for my own personal growth (and writing). There’s something magical about writing only for myself, something that releases me from other people’s expectations, or my worries and comparisons. I wanted to create a space, a group, a community that I myself will be a part of, to recommit to the daily habit of journaling, without the pressure of needing to figure out what to write.
The most challenging thing about journaling lately is that there’s too much to write about. I wonder if you’re experiencing that too? That’s why I wanted to create daily recordings, almost like a guided writing meditation, where each writer can be held while they explore what comes up for them.
You may know that I’m in a yoga teacher training right now. I see this as a special sangha (community) where we can hold space for each other. We’ll have three (voluntary, not required) Zoom journaling sessions along with the recordings, so we can tap into the community together.
